Legends of The Game
With 18 Grand Slam championships, Fred Stolle ranks seventh on the All-Time List of Tennis champions. This Australian's 1985 induction into the International Tennis Hall of fame is testimony to his talents, and a lasting tribute to a Legend.
Aaron Krickstein, of Grosse Pointe Michigan, achieved a top ten ranking in the world in 1984, 1985, 1989, 1990 and 1991, and was in the U.S. top ten for seven years. His highest ranking was number six in the world in 1990. Krickstein holds two records that still stand: He is the youngest player to win an ATP Tour event at age 16, and youngest in the world top 10 at age 17. During his carrier he had victories over Sampras, Agassi, Becker, Edberg, McEnroe and Lendl among others. He won twelve professional tournaments and had his best record at the US Open with 27 wins and ten losses, reaching the semifinals once and the quarterfinals twice. Krickstein was well known for his five set record of 28 victories (winning eleven times from two sets down) and nine losses. He also won twelve US Junior titles, including the USTA National Championships for Boys 14-and-under, 16-and-under and 18-and-under. Krickstein played Davis Cup for six years and was instrumental in the US Davis Cup win in 1990. Aaron currently participates on the Men’s Senior Tour (Champions Tour) with Jim Courier, Pete Sampras, Todd Martin and John McEnroe. Aaron, who currently lives in Boca Raton with his wife Bianca and daughter Jade , has been the Director of Tennis at St. Andrews Country Club in Boca Raton, Florida since 2001.
